. We primarily work in Ninewa Province and the City of Mosul. In addition to advising and assisting our counterparts in their security and stability operations, we also live with our Iraqi counterparts – sharing a combat outpost and experiencing the culture firsthand. We recently moved to a new and larger facility, but in a more remote area in Ninewa Province (Northern Iraq)

Here are some photos taken May 2009 distributing Beanies to the children at the nathera School near Rutbah, Iraq. As we are attached to a Special Ops unit, the faces of the military members cannot be clearly identifiable in the pix.
The children were thrilled with the animals.
