We would like to welcome you to our site and thank everyone who helped make this program so successful over the last 6 years. As we enter into our 7th year, our success depends solely on the many generous people like you working together SENDING TOYS to the Troops stationed overseas. We continue to add new Points of Contacts periodically and our list continues to grow.

Beanies for Baghdad is a bridge between our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, the chidren of Iraq, Kosovo and Afghanistan and very generous kind hearted people back home who want to do a small part to make the world a better place. Our Network of Points of Contact receive joy in passing out donations to young children who have suffered so much and have so little happiness in their life. Many of the children live in extreme poverty. Your support is very much appreciated as the requests from the troops remains strong.

I wanted to extend a heartfelt Thanks to everyone at Beanies for Baghdad who has sent Beanies over the past year. I will never be able to fully describe the joy these toys bring to the children and families over here in Baghdad. You all have played a large part in reminding me that there are people in this world that are willing to give freely of themselves for others less fortunate halfway around the world. The stress and terror that I see over here is shadowed by the memories of the squeals of laughter and smiles on kids faces running up to me when they saw me handing out the Beanie Babies. I will remember these images for the rest of my life. I am leaving Baghdad at the end of this month and will return to my wife and 3 children in Arizona. I have kept 3 beanie babies to give to my children so that I can share the stories with them of the wonderful work Beanies For Baghdad is doing over here in Iraq.

Sincerely,
CPT Michael A. Hodgin
